We were blessed to be used by the Lord to minister along side Character Building for Eternity on the beautiful island of Roatan.

During the day we were able to visit schools to share some health principles and encouragement in Christ

Zambia Mission Trip Update
We worked with Anchor Orphanage School
and Anchor SDA Church*
in conjunction with the Zambian Conference
to conduct an evangelistic and health outreach.
Multiple churches, conference-wide joinedin with this evangelistic effort.

God truly blessed our efforts in Zambia.
Our students had a real hands-on experience at Anchor Orphanage School in Zambia, Africa, in which they had opportunities to apply practical concepts which they had been learning theoretically.
Our students enjoyed themselves so much that they did not want to come home!
Our young people taught canvassing (selling books and literature) and other things
that they had learned; health concepts such as hydrotherapy and massage
were also taught and demonstrated.
Two students are doing a blood pressure screening on a Zambian young lady
as one of the orphanage students looks on.
One of our students is drying beneficial plants in the hot sun.
These are locally grown herbs.
Another IHA student is helping to carry organic material to enrich the soil at the orphanage farm.
One man received a hot foot bath and his headache disappeared within five minutes!
Simple solutions for simple problems were greatly appreciated.
A health clinic is being given by some IHA parents and students
and some upper-grade students at Anchor Orphanage School.
This is a hands-on training in the use of herbs.
One of our IHA directors is talking to
the leaders of Anchor Orphanage about ideas for development.
This director is also trained as a medic, etc. (a man of many skills).
He preached during the first week of the evangelistic outreach. Three of our students preached on the second week.
Eleven Zambian students got baptized (praise God)!
The students at the orphanage crave a close relationship with God and desire to study more.

from a young literature evangelist leader
blessed with much experience in this field.
We are grateful to this IHA canvassing teacher for his contributions.
The Zambian students were rehearsing suggested canvassing lines that can be adapted to real-life scenarios.

Friendships were made and a good experience was had by all.
These two guards just received much-needed new shoes
as a surprise gift provided by IHA.
They asked for photos of their new shoes to be taken,
and were very appreciative.
A third guard also received new shoes.
The Zambia orphanage has many fruit trees (such as guava) in their orchard.
Much food is grown for the children of the orphanage on their farm.
We really appreciated the African outfits that the local tailor made for us.

This lady (to the right) in Zambian dress is one of our very kind IHA teachers. She has decades of experience teaching children with different abilities, including special needs students.
Our dear IHA directors look so nice in their beautiful Zambian garb.
At the end,
this sweet young student of Anchor Orphanage School
sang a lovely goodbye song to us.
There were other goodbye songs and tears as we bid them farewell.
One of our directors joined the Zambian teen young men in a song
with beautiful harmonies.
He fit in perfectly, although the words were not in English
(perhaps Tongan).
The eighth-grade Zambian students also sang a farewell song, rich in harmony.
These upper-grade students who took part in the training and clinic
received medical missionary certificates.
Please pray for the eleven precious, newly baptized students and for everyone at the Zambia orphanage.
We hope to return and by God’s grace to be a channel of blessing.

Special thanks to our trip organizer, who worked tirelessly to make the travel, housing, and food arrangements, and planned health screenings and programsalong with our directors and students who helped and labored alongside her.
She is trained as a nurse and has the experience of having planned many mission trips.
